This page highlights various topics associated with the proposed transportation improvements. Current topics of interest include the following:
- Environmental — the Categorical Exclusion Evaluation (CEE) for this project is currently being prepared to evaluate impacts the proposed improvements will have on sensitive environmental features, endangered species, historic structures, local archeology, and potential hazardous waste sites. The CEE will be completed and submitted for PennDOT and FHWA review and approval, after the development of preliminary construction plans, which will be completed once a preferred alternate has been selected.
- Traffic — Background traffic data has been collected and evaluated and projected traffic volumes have been developed and analyzed to determine the appropriate improvements necessary, in order to provide desired capacity and operation for future conditions.
- Right-of-way — Right-of-way impacts will be identified during the development of the preliminary construction plans, which will be completed after a preferred alternate has been selected.
